Loa loa microfilariae in blood film stained with Delafields haematoxylin - sheathed with nuclei extending to the tip of the tail, 250 - 300 x 6 - 8.5 microns, has diurnal periodicity. This was found in a patient from Africa with a marked eosinophilia.
